I get asked about ‘growth hacking’ from time to time. Long story short, it’s bullsh*t. It’s just a buzzword. It doesn’t describe a strategy or set of tactics that can grow your business.
People need to attach their own meaning or explanation to growth hacking. Mine? Using creative strategies to grow a business (so, marketing).
If you want to grow your business dramatically, it takes four things:
- Data
- Time and/or money
- Experimentation
- More data
You know what’s cool? Sometimes marketing works. Sometimes it doesn’t.
To find your groove in marketing, you need to experiment. There is no universal ‘growth hacking’ formula. Remember, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
