Industries we work with

Construction company websites that back your reputation and BD

Most construction and building companies are evaluated online before anyone makes a phone call. Bare turns the projects you've already delivered into a digital presence that holds up to that scrutiny.

Built for principals who run BD themselves

Why this matters

Some procurement decisions are made before the phone rings

You have completed projects, returning clients, a safety record and a roster of subbies who keep coming back. Most of that body of work has never made it past the team folder.

The latest project on your portfolio finished in 2023. The capability statement still references a head office address you moved out of. Forty jobsite videos and hundreds of images sit on a drive, never edited, never published.

Some builders lose work before the conversation even starts. Someone Googles you, looks at your website for thirty seconds and decides whether to make the call. A property manager comparing companies for a tenancy fit-out. A developer doing a quick desktop check before adding you to the shortlist. Even referrals do it: your name gets passed along, the website gets opened and the decision happens before anyone picks up the phone. Subbies, suppliers and potential staff do the same before they decide whether to come on board.

Bare turns the work you have already delivered into the digital presence the buyer needs to see before the meeting happens.

What we deliver

How we structure a builder's digital presence

1. Capability architecture

Most construction websites read like a project list with no story attached. The capability is buried, the sectors are scattered. We start by mapping sectors, project types, scale bands and team in a structure a head contractor can scan in two minutes.

2. Project-led storytelling

Construction work is the easiest of any industry to prove visually, and one of the hardest to publish well. Drone shots sit on hard drives. Time-lapse footage was captured but never edited. We build a project case study system that turns each delivered job into a single, scannable proof page covering sector, scale, value, scope, program and outcome, with photography and video.

3. Project credibility on every page

Construction buyers know what a real builder writes like and what an outsourced web agency writes like. We work from the materials your team already produces (handover documents, project debriefs, safety briefings, completion reports) and refine them into web content that reads as the business wrote it.

4. Tender and prequal-ready collateral

A panel evaluator opens your tender response, your prequalification submission and your website. If the three documents read like they were written by three different businesses, you have a problem. We build the website, the capability statement and the tender templates inside a single design system and voice, so every cross-check provides consistency and your team can produce on-brand documents without senior rework on every submission.

FAQ

What construction principals ask before they engage us

Common questions we get from directors and principals running BD themselves, before the first call.

Our construction clients range from small builders running ten projects a year to mid-sized commercial contractors delivering head contract work for government, developer and Tier 1 clients. Sectors covered include residential, commercial, industrial, fit-out, civil and earthworks.

Yes. Construction confidentiality usually splits along three lines: the client will be named but the project value cannot be published, the value can run but the photography cannot or the project itself is under NDA.

We work through a project-by-project clearance grid with your team at the start of the case study process, capture what each client will and will not allow, and write the narratives accordingly. Photography and video clearances run separately. Nothing publishes without your sign-off, and nothing publishes that puts a referral relationship at risk.

Bare has been writing for builders, contractors and capability work since 2015. Before founding Bare, Rachel spent years in-house at Worley as Marketing Manager in the Business Development team, working alongside Proposals on their largest pursuits. That role covered EOIs, capability statements, tender responses and prequalification submissions for engineering and construction work alike, so the rhythm of how a procurement panel evaluates a builder’s submission is familiar territory.

Yes. Construction companies are some of the most rigorous procurement clients we onboard for, and we have shaped our delivery accordingly. Every build ships with a supplier assurance pack documenting our delivery approach, quality controls, security and access management, hosting and data handling and update, backup and recovery approach.

The build itself runs through six documented quality gates from discovery to post-launch stabilisation, so your procurement team has stage-gate evidence at each milestone. Rachel is the named accountable principal across the engagement, with no account managers or subcontracted leads stepping in midway.

Full details are on our quality and assurance standards page here.

Yes. We commonly rebuild the website and the capability statement together so the same brand, the same voice and the same project narratives flow across both. The website carries the long-form proof, the capability statement carries the executive summary version, and prequalification submissions pull from the same library.

Construction SEO works in three layers. Sector and service pages capture the broad searches like “commercial fit-out builders Perth”. Project case studies capture the long-tail like “office tenancy refurbishment Perth CBD”. Practitioner and capability content captures the AI answer-engine queries that procurement teams now run as part of their desktop check.

Our SEO & Content Growth retainers publish or upgrade one priority page per cycle, prioritised against where buyers are actually searching. The result compounds over time, and the keywords we target are the ones a procurement officer, developer or head estimator would actually type into Google or ask ChatGPT.

Your project team owns accuracy, we own structure. We draft from the materials your team already produces (project briefs, completion reports, debrief notes, photo and video) and shape them into web content. Your senior team reviews each piece, flags anything that needs adjusting and signs off before it publishes. The aim is content that reads like a builder wrote it.
