Google Cloud Website Hosting with 100% renewable energy matching & daily on-site backups
Ever updated a WordPress theme or plugin and break your site? If you use free plugins the developer may not provide regular updates or maintain it at all, which can lead to errors, time outs, 404’s or the dreaded white screen of death.
While some hosting companies automate updates, very few pick up anything less than a major website crash leaving you with a broken site until you notice the error. That’s why living, breathing developers manage our updates. We back up everything first, update as needed and test all functions as it should. If something breaks, we roll you back to the last update and contact you with recommendations to overcome any compatibility issues.
Backups are your saviour when things go wrong. While hosting companies often include on-site backups in their plans, what happens if your web hosts entire infrastructure goes down? What if you can’t access your dashboard or account?
We’ve assisted numerous clients who through staff or supplier changes have lost the details to access their web host or domain panel, and in doing so have lost all data from their website when services failed to renew.
So while we backup on-site with our web hosts, we also backup off-site to third party storage, such as Google or Amazon, so content is always replaceable and accessible.
We look after our clients who have regular services with us. Since we’re already working together, you’ll receive a discounted rate for any design or marketing services. That’s 20% off our standard ad-hoc rate of $150/hr.
A website is never really ‘done’, so we can assist with making updates to web pages, adding blog posts or building in new features like an online store.
We’re also here for your general marketing needs, maybe you need support with your socials, collateral or events – we’ve got you covered there too.
Google blacklists around 10,000 websites a day, 90% of these due to hacking. Blacklisting prevents Google users from accessing your site, lowers your search engine ranking and suspends your Google Ads accounts.
While it’s heart-pounding to receive a blacklisting notice from Google – you can come back from it. We will investigate and clean your website so you’re back up and running in no time. While there are auto-clean tools out there, they can miss files if they don’t fall within their parameters, so we also manually review your files to ensure all looks above board.
Once issues are resolved, we’ll advise you to jump into Google Search Console so you can request a Google review and have the blacklist removed (this takes around 72 hours).
Repeated blacklisting is bad, so it’s important that you prevent repeated hacks through monitoring and maintenance via one of our packages.
It depends on a few of factors, such as:
If your website receives heavy traffic, processes most of your sales and is updated daily, we recommend the Ultimate package.
If your website has low traffic, is simply a source of information and updated infrequently, we recommend the Basic or Essential package.
If you have been the victim of previous hacking attempts, we recommend the Essential or Ultimate package to avoid future attacks and being blacklisted by Google.
You can always reach out to us to talk about what would be best for your needs and budget.
Absolutely.
Our Starter package is for those who have a preferred or existing website hosting provider.
If we do not host your website, we will simply contact you after you confirm your subscription for credentials for your website, FTP and CPanel.
If your site breaks we immediately roll it back to the last backup (we always do a backup before making updates) so your site is live once more. We then make a copy of your website in a staging environment (a clone of your site that isn’t live) to determine the culprit and see if we can rectify the issue.
If there are issues with compatibility, we’ll reach out to you on your nominated email address to discuss ways forward. Problems can often be resolved by switching themes, using alternative plugins or renewing an outdated plugin subscription. We’ll provide a costing for each option, and let you know if custom development work is required.
You can change your package anytime before your monthly subscription renewal date, with the change to take effect in your next billing cycle.
For example, if your subscription renews monthly on the 15th, let us know you’d like to upgrade or downgrade before the 15th for your new package to go into effect on the 16th.
Just remember, if you are moving from Bare hosting to an alternative hosting provider, you will need to account for the time it will take to migrate your site before cancelling your hosting with us to avoid downtime.
Yes – We’re not fans of long term lock-in contracts. You can cancel at any time with 30 days notice.
We’d rather give you the flexibility to manage your cashflow and services in line with your business needs, not ours.
Just remember, upon the termination of your package we will delete all associated data from our servers and storage and remove any premium plugins we have installed as part of your package.
So, if you are moving from Bare hosting to an alternative hosting provider, you will need to migrate or transfer your data before your package end date. We’re happy to work with you during this process to ensure there’s a smooth transition.
